About The Project
The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe takes us on a Black history tour of the perception of racial minorities in the media. Through 11 exhibits, we see the journey through slavery to the modern Black Pride movement.
This was my first project assisting a designer. I was given a book and one week to learn what it meant to be an assistant. During the show I learned to hang, program, and create basic paperwork. What was fun about this project was that it required special effects that had to be hand made.
The design used LED strip lights on a metal header piece that hung above the stage. I was involved in preparing over 100 feet of LED strip lights to work with DMX.
